Bio for Leonard School of Music

Miss Stacy started teaching in the early 80's from her parents home in Mt Pleasant with two Steinway pianos back to back in the living room. She attend College of Charleston and Graduated in 1986 with a Ba/Mu fine arts degree instrumental, with emphasis on piano and flute studying all the woodwind instruments. She played oboe and bassoon in school and performed in many summer productions and college productions in Pitt- orchestras for musicals.
After graduating from college she taught piano and flute lessons for the town of Mt pleasant at the recreation building for 10 years while she taught general music k-8 at Christ out King Stella Maris school, also playing in the loft for Stella-Maris church on organ,, and playing for Christ-Our- King church masses on flute.
Upon leaving the town of mt pleasant, Miss Hammond went on to teaching lessons for herself and renting a studio at Mt Pleasant Music store and teaching piano and flute lessons in students homes as a traveling instructor . Our programs recital every year is at Frankie at the Seaside chapel for which our students and the residents enjoy this performance as a community outreach program for the seniors. Miss Hammond alo plays lead keyboard and flute at Unity Baptist church in mt pleasant with the praise team there.
